For Pete's Sake

Watch the trailer for Netflix docuseries ‘Quarterback’ about Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes

When Netflix announced in February that it was releasing a docuseries about NFL quarterbacks, the streaming service promised to show life on and off the field for the athletes.

Judging by the first trailer for the show, which will feature the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, Vikings’ Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota, that’s what viewers will get.

“I’m excited for fans to get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at an unforgettable season for the entire Chiefs organization and for my family,” Mahomes said in a news release. “From welcoming home a new baby in the middle of the season to welcoming the Lombardi trophy back to Kansas City, our crew was there for it all. This new Netflix series will show the time, preparation and balance that it takes to be an NFL quarterback and perform on the biggest stage.”

Mahomes’ son Patrick Lavon III (nicknamed Bronze) was born last November.

Netflix released a first look at the docuseries on Wednesday, and it likely will pique the interest of Chiefs fans. Here is the trailer.

Mahomes’ new 2PM Productions and NFL Films will produce the show, which is slated to begin streaming on July 12.

There are some great moments in that video from both on and off the field, including the last shot of Mahomes’ amazing spin-move touchdown pass against the Buccaneers.

After seeing Clyde Edwards-Helaire catch the touchdown, Mahomes said: “I’m like that.”

Yeah, Chiefs fans are going to love this new Netflix series.
