Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes hit left-handed at softball game and (unsurprisingly) did well
During his first full season as the Chiefs’ starting quarterback, Patrick Mahomes pulled off a dazzling move that is still talked about today.
During a “Thursday Night Football” game in Denver, Mahomes avoided a sack by throwing a left-handed pass to receiver Tyreek Hill that resulted in a first down.
We learned Friday that Mahomes can bat left-handed as well as throw lefty.
Mahomes put on quite the show during Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling’s charity softball game at Legends Field, winning a really big trophy.
At one point during the evening’s activities, which included a home-run derby, Mahomes stepped into the other side of the batter’s box and took a swing left-handed.
In what should be a surprise to no one, Mahomes hit a line drive.
Impressive, right? And for those wondering, Mahomes was wearing jersey No. 5 because that was the number he sported while in high school and college.
