For Pete's Sake

Anything can happen on Day 3 of the NFL Draft, but there was a first in the history of the event on Saturday at Union Station in Kansas City.

The KC Pet Project brought adoptable puppies to the NFL Network studio, and it was cuteness overload.

Viewers also were treated to a different kind of scouting report. This one was about the dogs. But NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah admitted he had concerns about a pup named Patrick.

“There are some character concerns about Patrick. Just from personal experience. I brought him in for one of my (top-)30 visits,” Jeremiah said. “We spent a little time together. I think I made Patrick a little nervous.

“Oh yeah, Patrick peed on me. Absolutely peed on me.”

With a face like Patrick’s, how could anyone be upset with him for getting nervous on national television?
