It’s one week until the NFL Draft begins in Kansas City, and one former Chiefs player is a little nervous.

But it has nothing to do with which prospect gets picked in a certain draft spot.

No, Mitchell Schwartz, who was a Chiefs offensive lineman from 2016-’20, is worried about how Kansas City International Airport will handle the influx of fans. As many as 300,000 people are expected to attend the three-day event.

On Thursday morning, Schwartz picked up someone from the new KCI terminal and experienced a long delay.

“At least a half mile line waiting in standstill traffic to enter the airport and pick people up right now. What a disaster,” Schwartz wrote on Twitter. “Terrible design, and no one is forcing drivers to make loops and/or go to the cell lot. Draft is going to be a NIGHTMARE there. Will be an absolute zoo.”

The new terminal opened less than two months ago and there were traffic concerns with the arrival lanes at the airport as many people didn’t use the cell phone lot.

Some people agreed with Schwartz’s concerns about traffic, while others said they had not encountered any problems. Another said the stormy weather on Thursday morning might have been an issue at the time Schwartz arrived.

Here is what some were saying on Twitter.
