Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas had a tough task in Tuesday’s All-Star Game.

He had to pinch-hit in the ninth inning against Reds closer Aroldis Chapman.

After the game, The Star’s Andy McCullough asked Moustakas about Yost sending him in to face Chapman, who seemingly only throw triple-digit fastballs.

“I thought,” Moustakas joked, “we had a good relationship.”

Chapman’s nicknames are The Cuban Missile and the Cuban Flame Thrower, and it’s easy to see why.

Moustakas went down on three pitches, which may sound bad. But those three pitches averaged 102.9 mph.

MLB.com’s StatCast showed that the three pitches were: 102.5 mph, 103 mph and 103.1 mph.
