Shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. is too young to remember a time when the Royals previously wore powder-blue uniforms, but he’ll be sporting the look on opening day 2023.

Ditto for a special Bobby Witt Jr. bobblehead.

The Royals said fans who buy tickets for the season opener on March 30 against the Minnesota Twins will be entered into a sweepstakes to win one of 10 Witt bobbleheads the team is giving away.

But there’s a deadline: Fans must purchase the tickets by Wednesday.

The Royals have never worn powder-blue uniforms for a home game, but they’ll don them for the 2023 season opener. The Witt bobblehead will show the second-year player in the special uniform, and each one will include his autograph.

Fan who already bought opening-day tickets are automatically entered into the sweepstakes, the Royals said.

A search on the Royals’ website shows a large swath of tickets for the opener is available in the upper levels of the stadium.

First pitch for the opener is at 3:10 p.m., and the Royals plan to host a pre-game Brothers Osborne concert from 1-2 p.m. at the Miller Lite Party Deck.
