Former MLB star Albert Pujols is selling his mansion in Leawood. Take a look inside
Although Albert Pujols’ playing days are over, he’s at spring training.
The Orange County Register reported Pujols is back with the L.A. Angels, working as a special assistant. The paper said Pujols is fulfilling the 10-year personal services contract he received after signing as a free agent with the Angels in 2011.
As Pujols, who played at Fort Osage High School and Maple Woods Community College, starts the next phase of his career, he’s saying goodbye to Kansas City.
Pujols put his mansion in Leawood up for sale, Realtor.com said, for $2.3 million. The home is 10,000 square feet, with five bedrooms, 7 1/2 baths and a three-car garage, the website reported.
“The traditional-style home features dark-stained woodwork throughout and an imposing stone mantle over the fireplace,” the Realtor.com story notes. “A large island is a highlight in the kitchen, which includes a bar and wine room.”
Here are photos of the home from Realtor.com.
The Twitter account Pro Athlete Relocation shared these photos from inside the mansion.
And here is a video tour of Pujols’ soon-to-be former home.
