Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown joined the “Raw Room” podcast on Tuesday, and he made headlines and upset a few fans.

The big news: Brown said the Eagles need to give quarterback Jalen Hurts a new contract or “ship me wherever he’s going to go.”

Brown just completed his first season in Philadelphia after playing three years with Tennessee.

At last year’s NFL Draft, Brown was traded from the Titans to the Eagles, and he recapped how the deal went down while also revealing he had a couple of other suitors, including the Chiefs.

“My agent called me, Philly is going to try to push for you,” Brown said. “The Chiefs tried to get me. Couple other teams, like the Jets and all that stuff, but Philly was making a big push.”

You may have noticed from the clip above that Brown was wearing a Royals cap. That didn’t sit well with some Eagles fans. Here’s what a few people said.

That’s a minor detail, but Brown felt the need to address why he was wearing a Kansas City Royals cap.

“I wear hats to match my fit,” Brown wrote on Twitter. “I’m not a fan of nobody’s team. I don’t even look at the name tbh, only the color.”

The Royals’ social-media team had a perfect response to Brown’s Twitter message.
