Chiefs fans can get free beer at eight locations before and after Super Bowl parade
Here’s a prediction for Wednesday’s parade to celebrate the Chiefs’ Super Bowl championship: many beverages will be consumed.
The Chiefs players on the buses may tip one back as that move toward Union Station, where the celebration will be taken to another level. And fans likely will have an adult beverage, too, before the parade begins.
And many of them will get a free beer, thanks to Bud Light and Coors Light.
Coors Light said the KC Live! Living Room Bar will be pouring free beers for parade-goers for 15 minutes, beginning at 2 p.m. Expect a line to form for that giveaway.
Former Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles will be handing out a free Bud Light to fans at Johnny’s Tavern in the Power & Light District. Charles, who played for the Chiefs from 2008-’16, will be making the handoffs from 11 a.m. to noon.
Bud Light said fans can also pick up a free beer from between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. at these establishments: County Road Ice House, No Other Pub, StreetCar Grille, Taps on Main, The Blue Line and John’s Big Deck. The beermaker said fans should look for an ambassador at those locations to get the freebie.
Regardless of which beer fans go for, it’s important to note that the free beer will only be for people who are age 21 or older, so have that ID ready.
