Eagles players rip Chiefs’ JuJu Smith-Schuster over viral Super Bowl Valentine
Hey, isn’t Valentine’s Day supposed to be all about love?
It certainly wasn’t that way on Twitter* after Chiefs wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster made a custom Valentine that poked fun at Eagles defensive back James Bradberry.
*Big surprise, right?
Bradberry was called for holding on the Chiefs’ final drive of Super Bowl LVII, and that allowed Kansas City to run down the clock and have Harrison Butker kick a game-winning field goal with 8 seconds to play.
After the game, Bradberry admitted he held Smith-Schuster, and on Tuesday he explained why he came clean about the penalty.
Later on Tuesday, Smith-Schuster tweeted the Valentine that included a photo of Bradberry and the words: “I’ll hold you when it matters most.”
That tweet quickly went viral and was commented on by a number of people, including Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown.
Brown took a shot at Smith-Schuster with this response: “First off congratulations. Y’all deserve it. This is lame. You was on the way out the league before mahomes resurrected your career on your 1 year deal Tik-Tok boy. He admitted that he grabbed you but don’t act like your like that or ever was. But congratulations again!”
Yep, Brown called Smith-Schuster “Tik-Tok boy.”
Smith-Schuster fired back: “Glad you were finally able to get all that off your chest after all these years. Good game bro”
Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson tweeted: “School boys acting gangsta …..”
Gardner-Johnson later wrote on Twitter: “JuJu ran from me when I check him in game then 10 got his smoke” and added this: “@TeamJuJu DONT GET TWITTER FINGERS ….. please”
Chiefs running back Melvin Gordon, former KC receiver Tyreek Hill and Eagles cornerback Darius Slay were among others who responded to Smith-Schuster’s Valentine.
Smith-Schuster’s tweet also led to someone at Hard Rock Sportsbook getting in big trouble.
