Chiefs’ official Twitter account indirectly responded to Bengals’ ‘Burrowhead’ talk
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has only played three seasons in the NFL, but he’s already defeated three teams at least trio of times.
Two are AFC North rivals: the Ravens (4-2, including playoffs) and the Steelers (3-2). And Burrow also has a 3-0 record against the Chiefs
The success of Burrow and the Bengals against the Chiefs certainly has made Cincinnati players confident going into Sunday’s AFC Championship Game.
That contest will be at Arrowhead Stadium, but a video from the Bengals’ Divisional playoff win over the Bills showed cornerback Mike Hilton sharing a new moniker for the stadium.
Burrowhead.
Fellow defensive backs Eli Apple and Cam Taylor-Britt seemed to like that play off Burrow’s name.
Apple retweeted that video earlier this week when he wasn’t trolling Bills players Iyou may recall Apple did the same thing to Tyreek Hill last year).
Hilton retweeted an NFL Films video that showed him using “Burrowhead.”
Unsurprisingly, Bengals fans were using “Burrowhead” on social media.
“Burrowhead” is gaining steam, and Chiefs defensive back Justin Reid was asked about it Wednesday. His response: “I think everybody saw it, we’re gonna let our play on the field speak for itself.”
And the Chiefs Twitter account didn’t directly answer the “Burrowhead” chatter, but it was pretty clear that’s why this was shared.
