For Pete's Sake

Actor/Patrick Mahomes fan Henry Winkler narrates a hype video about Chiefs Kingdom

The Hollywood actors who host the “Big Slick” event each year to support Children’s Mercy, all have ties to Kansas City.

Jason Sudeikis, Paul Rudd, Eric Stonestreet, David Koechner and Rob Riggle are huge fans of the Chiefs because they grew up in the Kansas City area.

Actor Henry Winkler, however, became a Chiefs fan simply by watching quarterback Patrick Mahomes do amazing things on the field. Winkler shared his admiration of Mahomes last year and caught the attention of the quarterback. The two ended up meeting before the Chiefs’ game against the Chargers at SoFi Stadium this season.

The Chiefs tapped Winkler to narrate a video about KC fans and their gameday rituals, and how they help the team find success.

“Some see Chiefs Kingdom as a bit much,” Winkler says in the video. “You know what we see? We see you the fans doing their part because this isn’t much. It’s amazing. And this is dedication. And this, well, this is eccentric. So whoever you are and whatever your ritual, just know this: We love it and we’re right there with you.

“Because all the preparation you do helps us with everything we do. And the truth is, doing the most is what we do. So keep it up Chiefs Kingdom. It’s working and we ain’t done yet.”

This should get Chiefs fans pumped up for Saturday’s Divisional playoff game against the Jaguars.
