For Pete's Sake

Chiefs’ Travis Kelce channels Deion Sanders on touchdown catch against Chargers

Deion Sanders’ nickname during his playing days was “Prime Time,” and the Chiefs were playing in prime time on Sunday night.

It’s a stretch to call that a coincidence, until you see how Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce celebrated his touchdown against the Chargers at SoFi Stadium.

After catching a pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Kelce knew he was going to score.

So as he headed to the end zone, Kelce pulled out Sanders’ celebration during his 14-season career in the NFL.

Here are two looks at Kelce’s “Prime Time” celebration.

The finger roll by Kelce was something Chargers legend LaDainian Tomlinson was famous for doing.
