Chiefs’ Andy Reid ranked in the top five in list of the most handsome NFL coaches
No wonder State Farm hired Chiefs coach Andy Reid to star in a commercial. Clearly, the insurance company realized Reid’s good looks would appeal to people.
There’s a new study that shows Reid is one of the most handsome head coaches in the NFL, according to Gambling.com. That company used portraits from each NFL team’s website and scanned them with the Golden Ratio Face app.
That app says it “uses facial symmetry, facial structure, and the golden ratio to calculate the beauty of anyone.”
It added: “Researchers have discovered that the human perception of physical beauty is closely related with Golden ratio. Golden beauty ratio is approximately 1.618. If the distance between certain regions in face to the distance of another defined region is closer to 1.618, then its considered ideal.”
Reid, 64, scored an 8.72 out of 10, which ranked fourth among the 32 NFL coaches.
Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury finished first in the ranking with a 9.20 rating, followed closely by the Giants’ Brian Daboll (9.10).
Texans coach Lovie Smith (8.98) is third in the ranking. Frank Reich (8.71) was fifth on the list, but he was fired by the Colts this week, so that elevated the Falcons’ Arthur Smith (8.72) to No. 5.
Reid was asked about the ranking Wednesday at a Chiefs news conference.
“I was wondering why I wasn’t first,” Reid quipped. “Got to get more redheads out there.”
