‘My poor nerves.’ Chiefs fans share thoughts on KC’s 20-17 overtime win over Titans

Whew.

That’s the one-word reaction from many Chiefs fans after a comeback overtime win against the Titans in Sunday night’s game at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Chiefs scored eight points in the fourth quarter (thanks to quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ rushing ability) to tie the game with Tennessee, then won it in overtime on a Harrison Butker field goal and some terrific defense.

Chiefs 20, Titans 17.

Whew.

For much of the night, it didn’t look good for the Chiefs, but they pulled out the victory and improved to 6-2 on the season.

Chiefs fans shared their reactions and thoughts on Twitter and Facebook. Here is a sample of what they were saying.

“Dang that was a good game. Way to pull it out guys. Awesome overtime defense,” a fan wrote on Facebook.

Another shared this: “Congratulations guys ! You nearly gave this old lady a heart attack!”

A fan on Facebook wrote: “Every once and a while, I want a nice relaxing game where I’m not dying a thousand deaths and pulling my hair.”

Another shared this: “Man, what a hard fought win. Way to tough it out against a great team. Go Chiefs!”

This was a Facebook comment: “That (is) the kind of game that will make you puke at the end if it! Hard fought battle! Go Chiefs!”

This was another Facebook comment: “I’m totally exhausted and I just watched the game! They need tomorrow off for sure!!!”

On Facebook a fan wrote: “Man it was stressful to watch at times, but the boys came through! Fun to watch! Give the game ball to (Khalen) Saunders!”
