For Pete's Sake

Furious Travis Kelce launched his Chiefs helmet after Titans interception off his drop

The Chiefs again found themselves in a slog Sunday night against the Tennessee Titans at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

After a quick start to the game, the Chiefs saw their nine-point lead evaporate into a 14-9 halftime deficit against the Titans.

Tennessee has often given the Chiefs fits during Andy Reid’s tenure as head coach.

But the second half started well as the Chiefs forced Tennessee to punt. But the Chiefs’ first possession ended with a turnover when quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ pass skipped off the hands of tight end Travis Kelce and was intercepted.

Tennessee’s Roger McCreary came up with the pick.

NFL’s Next Gen Stats said the pass had an 82.1% completion probability.

As he was leaving the field, Kelce showed his frustration and heaved his helmet toward the sideline.

The Titans kicked a field goal after the turnover.
