Former Chiefs fullback Kimble Anders will be back at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday night as the team will celebrate his Ring of Honor induction at the game against the Tennessee Titans.

Before kickoff, Anders will be the drum honoree, and he’ll be fêted by the team at halftime. For the annual Legends Game, the Chiefs are expecting more than 70 alumni to be at Arrowhead Stadium.

Anders, 55, played for the Chiefs from 1991 to 2000 and was known as much for helping open holes for his teammates as for running the ball.

“I wasn’t going to get on the field with those guys,” Anders told The Star’s Blair Kerkhoff in April. “Then the West Coast offense came in, and it was a perfect fit. I had never blocked straight ahead in my life, or been a lead blocker.”

Pregame activities

In addition to Anders banging the drum before the game, R&B artist David Correy will perform the national anthem. The U.S. Army’s Golden Knights will parachute into Arrowhead Stadium.
