It appeared a game official asked Bucs player for an autograph after Sunday’s game
Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans couldn’t blame their team’s 21-3 loss Sunday to the Carolina Panthers on the game officials, but that doesn’t mean some football fans weren’t upset.
A video that was widely shared on social media appears to show a game official stop Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Evans and asked for an autograph as he was heading to the locker room.
It’s possible the official needed something else from Evans, but here is the video from the tunnel following the game at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
That clip above is from Sheena Quick of KCBL-AM radio, and she shared this one that did little to dissuade viewers from thinking Evans was signing an autograph.
Football Zebras, a web site dedicated to “thoughtful analysis and commentary without team bias about the NFL officials and the calls they make” thought it was a bad look for the officials.
