Quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ phenomenal success with the Kansas City Chiefs is not the only reason why you’ll see him in multiple television commercials these days.

Companies know that people have a favorable opinion of Mahomes, a fact that was confirmed by a recent survey conducted by Morning Consult.

The survey, which was conducted on Aug. 25-26, found Mahomes had a net-favorability rating of 32. That tied for first with Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson. Third on the list was Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady (28), followed by Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford (26).

“Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes remains the NFL’s most popular player ahead of Thursday’s kickoff to the 2022 season, according to new Morning Consult research,” Morning Consult’s Mark J. Burns wrote. “But now the four-time Pro Bowler has company at the center of America’s hearts, in the form of new Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson.”

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was tied for ninth in the survey (20) with Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Cardinals wide receiver A.J. Green and 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

Here are the top 20 most-liked NFL players, per the survey.

Morning Consult said it spoke with 2,210 adults in the United States, “including 1,534 self-identified sports fans” for the survey.
