For Pete's Sake

KC Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shows off sidearm magic against LA Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers jumped to a 10-0 lead over the Kansas City Chiefs early in the second quarter of Thursday’s home opener but some Patrick Mahomes magic got KC back in it.

After a Chargers touchdown made it a double-digit lead, the Chiefs answered by moving the ball 75 yards in seven plays to make it a 10-7 game. The drive was capped by a 9-yard pass from Mahomes to running back Jerick McKinnon.

But this was no normal pass. It was a trademark sidearm throw after Mahomes deftly escaped a Chargers defender.

This look at the play is even more impressive.
