Chiefs’ video shows a new midfield logo at Arrowhead Stadium and possibly red end zones

The gold-colored end zones at Arrowhead Stadium were a big hit when they were used a few years ago.

Some fans remember a time when the end zones at Arrowhead Stadium were painted red (and I’m not talking about the Great Googily Moogily Snickers commercial).

Could the red end zones be returning for the Chiefs’ home opener against the Chargers on “Thursday Night Football”? That’s what fans were wondering/hoping after the Chiefs shared a video of the preparation being done to the Arrowhead Stadium field.

It seems there also will be a new logo at midfield (which some have noted is the original Arrowhead Stadium logo) so things are gonna look different on Thursday.

Here is the video and one shared by a Twitter user named john:

When Arrowhead Stadium opened in 1972, there were red end zones, so it would make sense to see them again this season.

The Chiefs’ video was widely shared and commented on. Here is a sample of what fans were saying.
