It’s only the preseason, so any statistical achievement at this point needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

But having said that, Kansas City Chiefs rookie defensive end George Karlaftis has a sack in every game he’s played. That’s two, but beyond the statistics, Karlaftis has made a good impression on at least one NFL Network analyst.

Brian Baldinger, who played for the Eagles, Cowboys and Colts in a 13-season career before becoming an analyst, shared a clip of Karlaftis’ sack of Washington quarterback Carson Wentz from Saturday’s game at Arrowhead Stadium.

Baldinger raved about Karlaftis’ technique.

“Let’s watch Karlaftis go to work. He’s got a tight end and he’s got (Sam) Cosmi, the right tackle. He’s going to get doubled,” Baldinger said. “There’s that angle of Karlaftis. He’s got power and strength. OK, now he’s gonna take on the double-team but he doesn’t want to get deeper than Carson. He sees Carson, so he spins. Now look at the hook. Look at the hook with the elbow.

“Look at how low he is. Look at the ankle. Now watch him come out of this. Come out of that. Two guys on top of him. And then take Carson down to the mat for a two-point takedown. Just drill him. Drill right in the turf, feel good about it, and then get up and get a little Kansas City Chiefs love. You earned it. (He’s) gonna be a good player.”

Here is Baldinger breaking down the play, and it begins with praise for Chiefs rookie cornerback Joshua Williams:
