Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes jokes he expects his new baby will be ‘wildest child ever’
Brittany Mahomes shared a video this week on her Instagram stories of her daughter, Sterling, dunking a basketball.
It was a toy basketball hoop, of course, because the 1-year-old daughter of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes can’t dunk on a regulation basket — yet.
Sterling has some strong athletic genes, because her dad is a star in the NFL and mom is a former professional soccer player. It would surprise no one if Sterling one day becomes a standout athlete.
But before then, Sterling will be a big sister.
As many a parent will tell you, no two kids have the same demeanor, so when asked Thursday about becoming a father again, Patrick Mahomes joked he expects Baby No. 2 to be a wild child.
“Oh I’m extremely excited,” he said at a news conference. “A gender reveal is coming up soon, so hopefully we get a boy. But I’ll love him or her either way. It’s going to be awesome.
“Sterling is such an athlete already. She’s so calm that I just know, girl or boy, this is going to be the wildest child ever. Hopefully Sterling teaches him or her the good ways, and we can have a nice household at the Mahomes household. Brittany will have her hands full for sure.”
So will he.
