For Pete's Sake

Young Royals fans drove Twins fans nuts with ‘Alex Gordon’ chants during Tuesday’s game

The announced crowd at Kauffman Stadium for Tuesday night’s Royals-Twins game was 10,003, along with 257 dogs.

It was “Bark at the Park,” but for fans up north who were watching the Royals come away with a 4-3 victory, there was no issue with barking. But many Twins supporters were bothered with kids who were at the stadium.

A group of young fans were vocal through most of the game, and they could be heard chanting the name of former Royals outfielder Alex Gordon at one point. It’s clear to hear on this replay of Hunter Dozier’s home run.

Those kids could be heard throughout much of the game, to the chagrin of reporters and fans watching. Some of the Twins fans let their displeasure be known on Twitter.

Some Royals fans also were not pleased with the vocal kids.

A few fans thought it was great that kids were enjoying themselves at the game.
