Two more Royals games will be moved from Bally Sports Kansas City to streaming service
Are you ready for some baseball ... on Sunday mornings?
NBC’s streaming service Peacock will begin showing Major League Baseball games each Sunday starting in May and running through the first weekend in September.
The Chicago White Sox’s game at Boston on May 8 (Mother’s Day) will get things started. Two Royals road games will air on Peacock, which means they won’t be seen on Bally Sports Kansas City as expected.
Moving off Bally Sports KC for Peacock are the Royals’ July 3 game against the Tigers in Detroit and the July 17 contest against the Blue Jays in Toronto.
Both games begin at 11 a.m Central time, and all the contests on Peacock will begin before noon.
The broadcast change means three Royals games this season now will be available only via a streaming option.
The Royals’ April 29 game against the Yankees at Kauffman Stadium will air on Apple TV+. The rest of the games will be shown on Bally Sports Kansas City.
Peacock said its service is available on the Roku platform; Amazon FireTV and Fire tablets; Apple devices including iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD; Google platforms and devices including Android, Android TV devices, Chromecast and Chromecast built-in devices; Microsoft’s Xbox One family of devices, including Xbox One S and Xbox One X; Sony PlayStation4 and PlayStation 4 Pro; Samsung Smart TVs; VIZIO SmartCast™ TVs; LG Smart TVs; Comcast’s entertainment platforms including Xfinity X1, Xfinity Flex, and XClass TV; and Cox’s Contour and Contour Stream Player devices.
