Chiefs fans were going through the seven stages of grief about star wide receiver Tyreek Hill being traded to Miami on Wednesday when Deon Bush decided to introduce himself to KC.

Bush, a safety who signed with the Chiefs early on Wednesday, took to Twitter and shared a simple message.

While that gesture was certainly appreciated by some fans, others were quick to point out it wasn’t the right time for warm greetings.

As that last message indicates, Bush soon realized he’d made a huge mistake. Bush then tweeted a new message to Chiefs fans.

Fans appreciated Bush’s sense of humor and he had some fun exchanges with Chiefs Kingdom.
