KU fans love this supercut video of experts saying Iowa would beat Jayhawks in NCAAs
The Iowa men’s basketball team won four games in four days last week and were crowned champions of the Big Ten Tournament.
Because of their strong showing, many national pundits thought the Hawkeyes would continue to roll in the NCAA Tournament. Iowa was seeded fifth in the Midwest Region, and so-called experts believed they would advance to the Sweet 16.
On paper, that seemingly would set up a game against top-seeded Kansas in Chicago. To various college basketball gurus, this would mark the end of the road for the Jayhawks.
But then the NCAA Tournament started. The Hawkeyes were eliminated Thursday after playing just one game. Richmond, the 12th seed, beat Iowa 67-63.
A KU fan with the Twitter handle We Good? put those analysts’ comments together in a supercut video earlier in the week, and Jayhawks supporters loved it then — and especially after the Hawkeyes’ embarrassing loss. Here is the video, and boy, did the experts think Keegan Murray was hot stuff.
Here are some of the comments from Jayhawks supporters after Iowa’s tournament hopes went down in flames.
