A Baltimore Orioles fan has thrown down the gauntlet.

Love or hate the song, but Lorde’s “Royals” was based on George Brett. But Orioles fan Lauren Hall released her own version of the song, which is slanted toward Baltimore beating the Royals in the American League Championship Series.

In her YouTube description, Hall wrote: “Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Baltimore City! I woke up on Monday morning still excited from the game the night before. I was thinking about the upcoming championship game against the Kansas City Royals this weekend, and 15 minutes later, I had written down my feelings in this parody of Lorde’s “Royals”. Enjoy, Baltimore friends.”

A sampling of the lyrics from Hall:

“And we’ll beat the Royals, (Royals)

It just runs our blood.

It’s an Orange October, hon.

What’s Kansas City got on us?”
