ManningCast was trending Wednesday on Twitter, and there was a simple reason for the increased talk about ESPN’s alternate “Monday Night Football” coverage.

ESPN had announced Joe Buck and Troy Aikman would be calling “Monday Night Football” games for the network this fall.

The 2021 NFL season was the first in which Peyton and Eli Manning talked with guests and commented on the games, and their coverage was dubbed the ManningCast. It was an immediate hit.

Now with Fox Sports’ top broadcast team bolting for ESPN’s main coverage of its showcase NFL game, many fans greeted the news by saying they’d be watching the ManningCast on ESPN2. Others made jokes about it.

Here is a sample of what was being said.

With Buck and Aikman calling “Monday Night Football” games starting with the 2022 season, what will your viewing choice be? Vote in the poll and/or leave a comment.
