Nike teases release of AFC Richmond jerseys from Jason Sudeikis’ TV show ‘Ted Lasso’

There’s been a steady stream of Google searches for AFC Richmond jerseys over the last year, as fans of the TV show “Ted Lasso” have been eager to buy the uniform of the fictional soccer team.

Someone at Nike appears to have realized this, because the shoe and apparel company on Monday teased the release of the crimson-and-blue jersey from the hit show which stars Jason Sudeikis.

From here on out, there will be spoilers from the show, so if you haven’t watched the first two seasons of “Ted Lasso,” you have been warned.

Fans of the show will note the jersey sponsor is “Bantr,” which is the fictional dating site that led to the romance between star player Sam Obisanya and team owner Rebecca Welton.

The jerseys on the show don’t really include the word “Believe,” but that word is on a Ted Lasso-made poster that was hanging in the Richmond locker room. Again, spoiler alert coming, but as we know the poster was ripped up by the turncoat Nate Shelley.

No word yet on when the jerseys might be released, but you can expect they’ll be a hot seller.
