The Royals were scheduled to play a spring training split-squad doubleheader on Friday, with games against the Brewers and Dodgers.

Those would have been the seventh and eighth games of the spring, but the ongoing Major League Baseball lockout has kept players from taking the field.

If an agreement on a new collective bargaining agreement is reached soon, the spring games will start March 12. The regular-season, which has already had the first two series canceled, would begin on April 8.

For the Royals, they are currently scheduled to open the season against the Cleveland Guardians at Kauffman Stadium. But that obviously could change depending on what happens in negotiations.

We wondered what Royals fans think of the lockout. Should MLB and the players union come to an agreement soon, will you be back at Kauffman Stadium as usual? Or are you too upset at this point?
