For Pete's Sake

Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce met with fans long after Pro Bowl practice ended

If you’re still bummed about how the AFC Championship Game ended, here’s a video that should bring a little joy.

Long after the AFC team had finished Thursday’s practice for the Pro Bowl, two players remained to sign autographs for fans: the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

As Mahomes signed various items, a “Patrick! Patrick!” chant started at the practice field in Las Vegas. Then there was a “Kelce! Kelce” chant.

This is worth watching more than once, just to see some of the reactions of people who had the opportunity to meet Mahomes. There’s a Raiders fan wearing a Darren Waller jersey, a toddler who didn’t seem to want to give up his mini-football, and the best of all: a boy in a Christian McCaffrey jersey who was clearly thrilled Mahomes signed his football.

With the NFC set to practice, Mahomes and Kelce had to leave. This video from Twitter user Arash Markazi is great:

The Pro Bowl is Sunday at 2 p.m. and will air on ESPN and ABC (KMBC, Ch. 9 in Kansas City).
