For Pete's Sake

New York Jets had a funny and clever reaction to Tom Brady’s retirement announcement

Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady made it official Tuesday: he is retiring from the NFL after an illustrious 22-year career.

Brady steps away from the game as the NFL’s all-time leader in a variety of categories, including passing yards (84,520), passes completed (7,263), touchdown passes (624) and quarterback wins (243).

A three-time NFL MVP, Brady won a record seven Super Bowls (six with the Patriots in his 20 seasons with New England, and one with Tampa Bay) and was the Super Bowl MVP five times.

Brady appeared in a record 10 Super Bowls, and of the three losses in the NFL’s championship game, two came to the Giants (LII and XLVI).

It was the defeats to the Giants that NBC New York decided to highlight on Twitter when announcing Brady was leaving the NFL. This is funny:

Brady had a career 30-7 record against the New York Jets, who also shared a humorous tweet after the retirement announcement.

The Jets got serious shortly after that tweet.
