Heading into Sunday’s final day of the NFL regular season, it appeared the most likely opponent for the Chiefs in the opening-round of the playoffs would be the Colts or Chargers.

But after a wild day that saw three overtime games and perhaps the biggest upset of the season (Jaguars over Colts), both LA and Indianapolis missed the postseason.

That set up this seeding in the AFC:

1. Titans (12-5), South champs

2. Chiefs (12-5), West champs

3. Bills (11-6), East champs

4. Bengals (10-7), North champs

5. Raiders (10-7), wild card

6. Patriots (10-7), wild card

7. Steelers (9-7-1), wild card

All but one of those teams faced the Chiefs this season.

Buffalo beat the Chiefs 38-20 on Oct. 10, the Titans crushed KC 27-3 on Oct. 24, Cincinnati defeated the Chiefs 34-31 on Jan. 2.

The Chiefs thumped the Steelers 36-10 on Dec. 26, and swept the season series with the Raiders, winning 41-14 on Nov. 14 and 48-9 on Dec. 12.

Which AFC postseason team do you think will pose the biggest challenge to the Chiefs? Vote in our poll and/or leave a comment.
