If the Chiefs win a sixth straight AFC West championship, Sunday may prove to be one of the most important days of the season.

When the Chiefs-Broncos game ends around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, all four AFC West teams could have a 7-5 record. That’s if things go very badly for KC.

Or, the Chiefs could have an 8-4 record and a two-game lead on all of their division foes with five games to play. That’d be a best-case scenario day for KC.

So, yeah, it’s kind of an important day in the AFC West.

The good news for Chiefs fans in Kansas City is they’ll have an opportunity to watch all four AFC West teams play Sunday.

The Chargers take on the Bengals in Cincinnati, and that game begins at noon and will air on KCTV-5. At 3:05 p.m., the Raiders will play host to the Washington Football Team, and that will be shown on Fox 4.

Fans wanting to skip the latter game will have the option of watching the Ravens play the Steelers on KCTV-5. That game could impact the Chiefs’ chance of being the top seed in the AFC playoff field.

The big day for the AFC West will end with the Chiefs playing the Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium. It will be on “Sunday Night Football” and air on KSHB (Ch. 41).

There will be one change from NBC’s usual broadcast team. Kathryn Tappen will be the sideline reporter instead of Michele Tafoya.

For fans going to the game, keep an eye out for Jac Collinsworth and Rodney Harrison, who will be host of the “Football Night in America” show outside Arrowhead Stadium.
