EA Sports drops KC Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes from ’99 Club’ in Madden football game

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared the cover of Madden 22, the EA Sports video game, with his Buccaneers counterpart, Tom Brady.

And now the two are the top-rated quarterbacks in the game as both have a 98 rating.

Unfortunately for Mahomes, that means he’s no longer part of the exclusive “99 Club,” which is made of the top-rated players.

Mahomes was in the “99 Club” last season, and he began there this season, too.

But after a tough start to the season, Mahomes’ rating lost a point. He also lost a point in the game’s “Awareness Rating.”

Just four players have the 99 rating, including Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. The others: Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald, Packers receiver Davante Adams and Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill has a 97 rating.
