For Pete's Sake

Kansas City Chiefs share video of mic’d-up Patrick Mahomes during win over Giants

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes doesn’t lack for energy whether its during a game or before it.

Mahomes was mic’d-up for the Chiefs’ game against the New York Giants on “Monday Night Football,” and his leadership skills were on display.

Before kickoff, Mahomes was encouraging his teammates and at one point noted the energy fans brought to Arrowhead Stadium. After the first touchdown, he greeted the offensive linemen on the sideline.

Later, running back Derrick Gore dropped the football after scoring his first NFL touchdown, Mahomes spotted that and ran over to pick it up and make sure Gore had the keepsake.

After the Chiefs defense recorded two sacks on the Giants’ final drive, Mahomes made sure to congratulate defensive lineman Chris Jones and then Frank Clark.

“Hey, that’s what I’m talking about Big Dog,” Mahomes told Clark.

Here is the video the Chiefs shared on Wednesday.
