Former Chiefs players and fans send best wishes to Jody Fortson after Achilles injury

Seconds after the snap, Chiefs tight end Jody Fortson fell to the turf and knew something was wrong.

A cart had to come on the field during the third quarter of the Chiefs’ game against Washington at FedExField to remove Fortson.

Shortly after that, the Chiefs announced Fortson had an Achilles injury, which usually requires a lengthy recovery time.
