Chiefs’ Daniel Sorensen is the focus of fans’ ire after Bills defeat Kansas City
There were some ugly numbers for the Chiefs in the first half of their game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Bills, who led 24-13, piled up 289 yards of offense in just 24 plays, a dismal average of 12.0 yards per play.
Buffalo scored on a 35-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Josh Allen to Emmanuel Sanders and a 53-yard pass from Allen to Dawson Knox.
Those two touchdown passes came with Chiefs safety Daniel Sorensen as the nearest defender. Chiefs fans expressed their displeasure with Sorensen’s play in the first half.
This is a sample of what they were saying:
One Reddit user wrote: “I went back to the first TD pass and they asked DS to fake blitz, run back to his deep position at the snap, and then guard Diggs.
“You can’t ask him to do that.”
Another wrote: “This is the real answer. He’s an okay, run supporting nickelback who we’re playing as a true safety for some reason.
“No, he’s not a good player, but our coaches aren’t doing him any favors. I don’t understand why they keep trying to make this happen when it clearly doesn’t work.”
