Tom Hanks is fired up for the U.S. women’s soccer game against Colombia
I haven’t met Tom Hanks, but I’m sure there is no question that Mr. Hanks will be watching the U.S. women’s national team play Colombia on Monday night in the Women’s World Cup.
On Sunday, Hanks took to Twitter to show his support for the Americans.
U.S. Women's World Cup squad has Julie Johnston now, been called a BEAST! Beat that fake turf, JJ! Hanx.
— Tom Hanks (@tomhanks) June 21, 2015Roll call! Boxx? Brian? Chalupny? Engen? Harris? Good to have you...
— Tom Hanks (@tomhanks) June 21, 2015Heath? Holiday? Beast Johnston? Klingenberg? Ali Krieger? Sydney Leroux, did I pronounce that right?...
— Tom Hanks (@tomhanks) June 21, 2015Lloyd, Morgan, and Naeher? Good. O'Hara? O'Reilly? Press? Ok, I see you...
— Tom Hanks (@tomhanks) June 21, 2015You’ll note that Hanks took special note of FC Kansas City’s Becky Sauerbrunn.
Rampone? Just say 'here'. Rapinoe, how was Paris? Amy Rodriquez? Sauerbrunn. Sauerbrunn! Thank you, Becks!
— Tom Hanks (@tomhanks) June 21, 2015And then Hanks came back for one final tweet, which again mentioned the deplorable artificial turf at the stadiums in Canada.
Hope? Hope Solo? Gotcha. Amy Wambach? Check. Listen up, Team! You're all my heroes... Careful on that turf... Hanx
