Royals outfielder Lorenzo Cain’s slide into second base came up just a bit short

Yeah, it was that kind of day.

The Royals were run over by the Red Sox on Sunday, losing 13-2 at Kauffman Stadium.

Not much went right, including this slide by Lorenzo Cain:

It’s not that bad, considering Cain was forced out at second regardless of whether he reached the bag, but still ... it was kind of funny. And Cain did deliver a two-run triple in the ninth inning to help the Royals avoid the shutout.
