Most think Nationals’ Max Scherzer was robbed of a perfect game
Did the Pirates’ Jose Tabata drop his elbow and allow himself to be hit by a pitch to break up a perfect game by Washington’s Max Scherzer?
The Internet says: Yes.
Tabata was hit by a pitch in Saturday’s game, and Scherzer settled for a no-hitter as Washington won 6-0.

— Tommy John Victim (@topher_clarke) June 20, 2015Jose Tabata's not gonna have to lean into a pitch the next time he faces the #Nats. #Scherzer http://t.co/GFgSkqDNw4
— Scott Sandalow (@ScottSandalow) June 20, 2015Sorry Nats fans, it's not like Jose Tabata is known for making great decisions. What a clown. # @dcsportsbog pic.twitter.com/3rx2biQhVZ
— Lawrence Benedetto (@lawonthedraw) June 20, 2015Tell me you'll dive down into that pitch without the elbow guard on Tabata. What a joke. #Scherzer should've been perfect
— Patrick Murray (@realpmurray) June 20, 2015Classless jerk. Tabata leans in to get hit by pitch with 2 out and Scherzer looking for a perfect game. pic.twitter.com/wfZjNwjJfA
— Bob Collins (@MyLittleBloggie) June 20, 2015Umm....Just saw that @Max_Scherzer perfect game was ruined by some kid without enough guts to get out of the way. Will always be a Max Fan.
— Erika (@TheKaBG) June 20, 2015After watching Scherzer's no-hitter, Jose Tabata of the @Pirates, gets the dink of the weekend award. HBP with two outs in a 6-0 game? Weak.
— Jon Meterparel (@meatstweets) June 20, 2015For the record, yes, I think Tabata leaned in. But only after fouling off several pitches. Dude gave Scherzer the chance to close the door.
— Bill West (@BWest_Trib) June 20, 2015ONE STRIKE AWAY Scherzer loses his perfect game on a hit batter. Jose Tabata totally dropped elbow into the pitch. pic.twitter.com/bO1QJrbReT
— Brodie Brazil (@brodiebrazilCSN) June 20, 2015No team/player wants to be on losing end of perfect game, but you can't do what Tabata did. He blatantly dropped his elbow #scherzer

— Gil Shuga (@GilShuga) June 20, 2015Jose Tabata should expect a fastball in the back tomorrow. The Nats pitching staff should back Scherzer after he ruined the perfect game.
