For Pete's Sake

Domino’s Pizza loved getting inadvertent shout-out from mic’d-up Rory McIlroy

Golfer Rory McIlroy was probably thrilled to find out there is a Domino’s Pizza in Hollister, Missouri.

Tiger Woods’ new golf course, Payne Valley, is located in that city outside of Branson, and McIlroy was there Tuesday. Woods and Justin Thomas took on McIlroy and Justin Rose at Payne Valley, and the players were mic’d-up.

At one point, Rose and McIlroy were talking ... pizza.

It started with New York style, but McIlroy said, “Tell you what, we’re on this big Domino’s kick at the moment. It’s so good. I swear to God. If you don’t know what the really good local pizza place is, Domino’s is, like, solid.”

McIlroy then talked about what he orders from Domino’s. Whether or not you agree with him, this shows why it’s great to have the players wearing microphones:

It’s no surprise, but Domino’s loved that clip:

And, hey, this is a good excuse for sharing this great clip of the late Jerry Stiller from “The King of Queens:”
