For Pete's Sake

Chiefs’ Sammy Watkins tweeted about how he was feeling after Chargers’ game

There was a scary moment involving receiver Sammy Watkins in the Chiefs’ 23-20 overtime win against the Chargers on Sunday.

In the fourth quarter, Watkins left after a helmet-to-helmet hit by the Chargers’ Denzel Perryman.

Here is video of that play from Twitter user Sully Engels:

Chiefs coach Andy Reid clearly wasn’t happy about the hit, but Watkins tweeted after the game and gave an update on how he was feeling.

Watkins wrote in part: “just happy I came out healthy on the next we will not be denied..! Great team win..!”

That seems to be a good sign for Watkins going forward. The Chiefs next play at Baltimore on Monday.
