For Pete's Sake

CBS Sports announces NFL broadcast teams and who will call Chiefs’ Week 2 game

As Super Bowl champions, it’s no surprise the Chiefs will be a big television draw this season.

Proof of that can be seen in their early television schedule.

The Chiefs open the season against the Houston Texans on Sept. 10 at Arrowhead Stadium. The game will air on NBC (Ch. 41), so Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth will be on the call.

On Wednesday, CBS Sports announced its NFL broadcast teams for the 2020 season and early assignments. No surprise, but Jim Nantz, Tony Romo and Tracy Wolfson are No. 1 grouping.

They will be on the call for the Chiefs’ second game on Sept. 20 against the Chargers. Kickoff from SoFi Stadium will be at 3:25 p.m.

CBS Sports’ other broadcast teams:

No. 2 team: Ian Eagle with Charles Davis and sideline reporter Evan Washburn.

No. 3 team: Kevin Harlan, Trent Green with reporter Melanie Collins

No. 4 team: Greg Gumbel and Rich Gannon.
