For Pete's Sake

Brewers tried a version of the Salvy Splash but it went hilariously wrong

Royals catcher Salvador Perez wasn’t the first to come up with a postgame celebration that resulted in a teammate being doused in icy beverage.

Perez merely perfected it.

On Saturday night, a pair of Brewers teammates wanted to celebrate a 7-6 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates by giving a teammate a cold shower from a cooler.

It didn’t go well.

Eric Sogard, who hit a walk-off home run, was doing an on-air interview when his teammates tried to cool things off. They got the job done partially, but they also had a bit of trouble and it made for a funny moment:

That’s Brewers infielder Luis Urias who slipped on the on-deck circle and fell to the ground.

Perhaps they’d like to contact Salvador Perez for tips on doing a postgame celebration.
