Here is a running list of NFL teams that canceled practice on Thursday
Sports didn’t come to a grinding halt on Wednesday, but the number of postponed games was noticeable.
The NBA, WNBA and MLS all postponed games as players protested the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Four Major League Baseball games also were postponed.
On Thursday, some NFL teams elected against holding practice. Here are teams that made that decision:
Los Angeles Chargers
Ron Johnson of Fox 9 shared these photos from a news conference:
Tennessee Titans
Titans Radio tweeted that team announced it won’t practice on Thursday.
Denver Broncos
According to KOAA News 5, the Broncos had a team meeting and decided not to practice.
Arizona Cardinals
Chierstin Susel of 12 News said Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury had given the players the day off.
Green Bay Packers
Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network shared the news about Green Bay:
Chicago Bears
Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported the Bears didn’t take the practice field on Thursday morning:
Indianapolis Colts
The team said in a tweet: “The team will use the day to discuss and work toward making a lasting social impact and inspiring change in our communities.”
New York Jets

Cleveland Browns
Camryn Justice of WEWS-TV said the Browns will shorten Thursday’s practice:
San Francisco 49ers

Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens tweeted: “Our team decided to practice this morning. After practice, the team will come together for a meeting to discuss and work on a plan for continued social justice reform efforts.”
Dallas Cowboys
Mike Leslie of WFAA-TV shared this after practice:
Philadelphia Eagles
Jeff McClane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Eagles “coach Doug Pederson had a team meeting to discuss the Jacob Blake shooting last night, per sources. It appears practice will take place this morning as planned. “
New Orleans Saints
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network shared a photo of Saints cornerback Janoris Jenkins’ helmet, which has Blake’s name on it.
Chiefs, Steelers, Buccaneers, Patriots, Rams, Bills, Falcons, Lions, Texans and Vikings
All have practiced or are scheduled to practice/hold a scrimmage on Thursday.
Seahawks, Raiders and Panthers
Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer noted both of those teams already had a scheduled off day on Thursday. The Associated Press’ Josh Dubow said the Raiders also had the day off.
