Royals played a Mike Moustakas tribute video before his first game back in KC

When looking back at Mike Moustakas’ time with the Royals, two is a special number.

  • He was the second overall pick in the 2007 draft.
  • The Royals made two World Series appearances during his time in KC.
  • Moustakas was also a two-time All-Star.

There were other notable achievements, including a World Series title and the Royals’ single-season home run record, which came in 2017 and has since been surpassed.

Moustakas left the Royals when a trade sent him to Milwaukee during the 2018 season. He’s now with the Reds, who played a doubleheader Wednesday at Kauffman Stadium.

The Royals made a tribute video for Moustakas and it was shown on the CrownVision board. Here is what the Royals shared:
