Rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire was mic’d-up at Chiefs camp and talked ... barbecue
Rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire seems relaxed at Chiefs training camp.
That’s judging by the things he said while wearing a microphone at practice. The Chiefs shared a video of a mic’d-up Edwards-Helaire and he covered a variety of subjects.
With running back DeAndre Washington, Edwards-Helaire talked about a favorite subject among Kansas City diners.
“I barbecued yesterday, again,” Edwards-Helaire said. “You could grab that bone and twist that bad boy and pull it out of there.”
Later in the video, Edwards-Helaire told running back Elijah McGuire he was wearing a microphone.
“Anything you wanna say?” Edwards-Helaire asked.
McGuire, who played at Louisiana-Lafayette, responded: “Man, I just wanna shout out to everybody back home.”
At one point, fullback Anthony Sherman talked to Edwards-Helaire about running backs coach Deland McCullough.
“You don’t know how lucky you are to have coach Deland,” Sherman said. “He’s one of the best, man. He’s one of the best.”
Edwards-Helaire also took handoffs and made a couple of nice catches in this video:
