For Pete's Sake

‘Thank you my dear.’ Co-host’s daughter interrupts ‘Good Morning Football’

There was a moment in Tuesday’s episode of “Good Morning Football” on the NFL Network that many people have witnessed this year while working.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made video conferencing a staple for many stay-at-home workers. Kids and pets have made unintended cameos on many of those video calls, and that was the case on “Good Morning Football.”

As Kyle Brandt was explaining that the Packers-Bears rivalry hasn’t been competitive for the past 20 years or so, his daughter approached needing assistance.

We never saw Evelyn’s face, but her arm made an appearance as she handed Brandt a tablet.

“Excuse me a minute, I have to put in passcode for Evelyn’s device so she can watch ‘Bob the Builder’,” Brandt said.

As Evelyn walked away, she corrected her father.

“I love you too. All right ... she’s watching Pokeman game or something like that,” Brandt said, while his co-hosts laughed. “Thank you my dear. Trying to keep the lights on here for you my dear.”

It was a cute moment:

One day we’ll all look back and laugh at moments like this from 2020, right?
